A good few days

I quite often love escaping to my Dad's house, that backs onto Surrey's countryside. I've been able to enjoy one of my favourite autumn highlights... the return of the open fireplace.

I also got to snuggle with Poppy who quite enjoyed being wrapped up in a blanket herself. I'm sure she thinks she's human.

However my top moment this weekend was waking up (after my early morning groan at the alarm) to my Dad's excitement that our garden had attracted a family of deer, including two babies.

They nibbled away at the grass whilst I enjoyed my morning porridge, looking like a scene out of Bambi.
